Every car over three years old requires an annual MOT test. Our MOT tests are conducted in line with DVSA guidelines to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy. We will thoroughly check and test a wide range of components on your vehicle including:
Our MOT test will check the security, performance and condition of all lights on your vehicle. We will also perform tests on your headlight’s aim & make the necessary calibrations.
We will test the responsiveness and effectiveness of your steering and suspension to ensure they are operating efficiently and that there are no signs of wear or damage.
Your windscreen wipers and washer bottle will be checked and tested in your MOT to make sure they are operating properly and give you a clear view of the road ahead.
Our MOT tester will perform a comprehensive inspection of your windscreen for any cracks, chips or wear. There is a maximum size between 10mm-40mm depending on the position of the chip that will affect whether your windscreen is roadworthy.
We will carry out a comprehensive inspection on your fuel tank to ensure there are no leaks or damage. Your fuel cap will be tested to check that it fastens and seals securely.
As tyre specialists, we will perform comprehensive checks and tests on all your wheels and tyres. We will check & test several factors including the condition & size of your tyres, tread depth and security.
Your brakes will be tested for overall braking performance, condition & wear as well as their general operation & responsiveness.
The structure of your vehicle will be checked and tested to ensure there is no corrosion or damage. Your vehicle’s body shell will also be inspected to ensure it’s not compromised or faulty. Often a sharp edge or corroded component could result in your MOT failing.

These repairs will be carried out after your MOT test to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy & you will receive a FREE retest within 14 days of your initial MOT.
Your MOT renewal date can often creep up on you, so please make sure you book well in advance. We recommend call a member of our team to check on upcoming dates so you can book a date & time that best suits you.
Our MOT tests take around 45 minutes depending on the type of vehicle being tested. To avoid any delays and wait times, we have an MOT reminder service that will keep you updated on when your MOT needs renewing.
Your MOT test can be completed up to one month before the expiry date of your current MOT certificate without losing any time on your current certificates renewal date.
We always recommend booking in your MOT earlier in the month as that gives you plenty of time to schedule in any repairs or adjustments you need to make should your vehicle fail its MOT.
When you book your MOT with us, all we’ll need is your vehicle registration number. Our waiting list will vary but we recommend booking your MOT early in your expiry month.
If your vehicle fails its MOT it is deemed as being not roadworthy & the necessary steps must be taken to correct this. Our MOT operators will always provide you with a comprehensive report (VT30) and outline areas that need to be addressed.
We can perform a FREE MOT retest for these failed points if you get your vehicle repaired with us.
Remember - the only time you can drive your vehicle without a valid MOT certificate is if you are driving to an MOT centre to get the vehicle tested.
